Liquid Breaker™ Applications
The Liquid Breaker™ System has three levels of water security models available, each of which connects to one or more *DC-Sensors and *Corso Valves.
The Liquid Breaker™ Panel
The Liquid Breaker™ Panel is made up of two Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s): The Master Controller, and the User Interface module. It uses ten onboard micro-controllers, operating in parallel, to monitor and control its operation. Each Omni Breaker™ Panel includes a master controller, a slave Internet controller, and eight monitoring controllers. Conveniently marked breakers from 1 to 16, identify which appliance is connected, similar to an electrical panel in a home.
It provides a main Shutoff Control Switch. Pressing this switch will toggle the main water supply line on or off (very convenient when doing plumbing repairs). Functioning in a manner similar to the “Main Electrical Breaker” in a standard electrical panel.
With the addition of a Flow Meter, water consumption can be monitored. The activity of each Liquid Breaker plugged into an Omni Breaker™ Panel is monitored and stored. The Liquid Breaker™ Panel provides the ability to perform diagnostics on the system installation. For example, it periodically cycles power to the valves for a few milliseconds to check for current flow. If no current is detected, indicating that the Valve coil has failed, an alarm e-mail notification will be sent. In addition, it will display the probable cause of the problem on the graphic LCD display. The Panel Breaker is a subset of the Smart Breaker™ or Intelligent Breaker™ without the Micro-controller and power supply. It is designed to plug into the Omni Breaker™ Panel. It gets its power from the motherboard and is controlled and monitored by a Micro-controller on the Omni Breaker™ Panel.
The Breakers are color-coded for specific functions: Green-colored™ breakers represent lawn sprinklers, blue-colored breakers represent all water lines, and red-colored breakers represent fire alarm sprinklers.
Liquid Breaker™
Liquid Breaker™ plug-in Modules are available in two versions:
1) Standard Breaker: designed to be hard-wired to a Corso Valve at the appliance, with a DC-sensor.
2) The Remote Breaker: is remotely located and communicates with the Omni Breaker™ Panel via wireless R/F communication.
Each plug-in Liquid Breaker Module, is enclosed in a plastic housing resembling an Electrical Circuit Breaker found in a home or business. The breaker includes a Red Reset Switch, and a Red and Blue flashing LED, signaling normal operation. The red flashing LED will turn yellow if a line has been damaged or cut.
Smart Breaker™
Known as Smart Breaker™ or Intelligent Breaker™. It comes with a plug-in-the-wall UL power supply transformer. It serves as a built-in low cost micro-controller, and is designed to be used stand-alone, to monitor a single water appliance.
Corso Valve™
CORSO VALVE™ was specifically engineered for the Liquid Breaker™ System. There is no rubber or neoprene diaphragm
to fail or replace. It comes with a five-year unconditional warranty. It uses a 24 vac. This Valve operates in a normally open position. It can be manually turned on or off without power at its location.
This electronically and manually operated ball valve can operate in an open or closed position.
It uses 24 VAC low-voltage current, and is manufactured by Taco, located in Providence Rhode Island.
It is specifically designed to operate with all three Liquid Breaker water security systems, and comes with a 5-year warranty.
